Founded in 2013 by Daniel Chait and Jon Stross, Greenhouse Software develops a hiring platform used globally. In 2021 they exited with a $500M Private Equity investment from TPG. TPG Growth and Rise funds also made growth investments in Greenhouse. Prior to the exit, Greenhouse had raised $110 million from Pre-Seed and Seed through a Series D round.
The Greenhouse platform started with a focus in the SMB largely in North America and is now used globally by employers up to and including enterprises with up to ~20,000 employees. Daniel and Jon came from outside the HR tech market and in less than a decade have gone from an idea to showing up in a meaningful way in recruiting platform market share analysis.
