How do you work out what to build? How do you find out what the customers need vs want? How do you start building a product/function when you are two folks and a dog and set a blueprint to scale in the future?
Building a product is hard. There are so many tensions that come not only from customer demands but also from your own vision. Blending the two and doing so in a focused way that allows you to build the right value, at the right time and in a way that allows you to scale the business in the future is the key to product market fit and to avoiding building huge amounts of technical debt.
Gareth Jones is currently CEO of Headstart, a VC-backed Y Combinator alumni startup. He has worked in people tech for 20+ years and is one of the founders of Impact WorkTech. He has led product development in worktech for a number of start-ups and tech businesses and has the scars of doing it wrong but also insight into how to do it right.
He will be sharing the practice and discipline of how to build products and your product development from the ground up, day one, and how to form a model that will allow you to scale great products as you grow.
